Victor Mwanga
Chief Executive Officer
Victor Mwanga, a Kenyan environmentalist and climate change advocate, is the CEO of Earthlungs, an organisation dedicated to large-scale reforestation and environmental restoration. With a background in logistics, he transitioned into environmental conservation to help combat the climate crisis. His passion for bamboo farming led to a broader commitment to landscape restoration. EarthLungs has grown from a national initiative in Kenya to a regional force, expanding into Tanzania and southern Africa. Victor continues to lead Earthlungs in sustainable land management and community empowerment.
Bill Odongo
Country Manager, Kenya
Bill brings a unique blend of high-level interpersonal skills and a deep commitment to environmental conservation. Drawing on his extensive marketing background, he builds strategic alliances with stakeholders who share a vision for sustainability. His persuasive yet diplomatic approach allows him to navigate both government and private sector channels with ease.
Josphat Mtwana
Chief Forester
Josphat, a conservation biologist and climate change practitioner, has over eight years of experience in mangrove conservation, blue carbon initiatives, and community engagement. As Chief Forester at EarthLungs, he leads forestry operations, manages field teams, and works with partners to support sustainable land use and ecosystem health.
Crossley Mwanga
Country Manager, Tanzania
Crossley is a seasoned supply chain and operations leader with extensive experience in end-to-end management, procurement, and operational strategy. Crossley is passionate about innovation, driving digital transformation and AI adoption in supply chains, particularly in Africa. He is also an avid marathon runner, participating in charitable races to support causes like healthcare and environmental conservation.
Hussein Hassan
Chief External Affairs Officer, Tanzania
Hussein ensures the effective delivery of EarthLungs’ projects in Tanzania. He coordinates partnership relations with stakeholders, budget monitoring, administrative support and communications for the Tanzania office

Hellen is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over 7 years of experience in finance, accounting, taxation, and financial management. As our Financial Controller, she leads the organization’s financial operations, ensuring transparency, compliance, stewardship and accountability in the use of partnership resources. Deeply passionate about green spaces and clean air, Hellen is committed to advancing the organization’s mission of environmental conservation and sustainability.

Fredrick is an M&E professional with a background in forestry and drone monitoring survey. With his expertise, Fredrick excels in leading M&E teams to effectively track and assess project progress, ensuring that objectives are met through data-driven decision-making and robust monitoring frameworks.
